I was wondering if anyone had ever fished Tamarack Lake or Barney Lake. These 2 smaller lakes are just above the Twins and I was thinking about hiking up and giving them a try on my next trip up there. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Lots of small brookies in them 6-8 inch ones and some rare 10-12 inch ones. 4 more miles (switchbacks) past Barney is Peeler Lake with some beautiful bows and the goldens. Easiest hike is to Barney.

If I remember right I think Barney is around 9200ft, not sure about Peeler or Tamarack though.

Great shot at Volcano Trout in those lakes!

Good luck and have fun!
