Will a 17ft aluminum boat w/ trailer fit inside a standard garage? thanks.

It would depend on the length of the trailer....

don't forget to include outboard, if its a larger permenant one. MY 18' ranger with outboard does not quite fit in (1) stall, but moving the tongue into the 2nd stall allows the door to close. (it would fit end to end, but the 150hp stick's out to far) and I do not have a collapsable tongue on the trailor either..

I can tell you it would not fit in my garage.

I'm totally in the same place as you. I've been researching boats for months.
The trailer will have to have a swing away tongue on the trailer. Tracker boats has specs for the boat and the package. I went to BPS last week and measured the boats they had out and it matched the website specs. Great deals since new year boats are coming in. I'll be getting mine within 3 months and I still haven't nailed down which one yet.

You could modify the trailer so the tongue can be removed.. This assuming that boat and motor alone can fit in your garage.

FYI-- went to the Nascar race on Sat in Fontana. Arrived too early, so went to BPS. Measused the Tracker Pro Crappie 17' 4". They had a 25 HP motor on it and it was 20' exactly, whereas the brochure states 18'5". Obviously, the brochure doesn't include the motor. Info I received from the sales rep: just about $15K for the boat, trailer, motor, all the goodies, (whatever the website list is). 10% down, payment is $158!!

Fishmaniac,
Take a few min a measure the clear inside of the garage and the total length of the boat.
I just sold my Triumph and got a 18.5' Crestliner I/O drive. It was a spontanous buy thing.
I didn't think about the size of the boat when I picked it up.
When I'm out on a used boat lot.. It's like a strip bar for me.. All logic and reason go completely out the window

http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h92/rfish7/001.jpg Got really lucky on this one.. It's sideways in the garage with maybe a 1/2 foot to spare. The garage door would have looked really funny with a Doggy Door and trailer tounge sticking out of it.

I used to put my 19ft. Ranger in my garage, but parked it at a slant in there.:ROFL::ROFL:
