float tubing in LB harbour

Went float tubing in Long Beach harbor. Had some bites but couldn't hook em little suckers. Finally hooked one little bastard! After about an hour of soaking in the water, I gave up and drove to the jetty. Hooked up with a shorty... too hot, calling it a day. sorry, still don't know how to load up the pics.

Is that Belmont Shores in the first picture? If so, I usually rent kayaks from the place right next to where you put your tube in. I always fish the dock, but not much to show for it. Nice sandie.

Thank you all for the kind remarks. Yeah, it's in belmont. It's a bit slow right now in that area. Just waiting to get my new waders then I'm gonna start heading out to NPH. Fishing is a lot better there, especially in the mornings right after work:Razz:

Hmm, an invite??? Sweet... I normally wouldn't miss it for the world, but it's my birthday this weekend and the wifey's got plans already so it might be a no go this weekend. But keep me posted, I work about 5, 10 minutes away from NPH and would gladly go next time. Do you float tube there often?

Nice Job on the SB and Butt. Were you using Live bait or artificials?
I love float tubing the flatwater in the harbors. I've been doing really well with Big Red up north.We've been catching everything from WSB to sharks on drifted sardines and chovies. Had a death defying trip out into Cabrillo harbor a few weeks back though. When me and Big Red decide to hit up cherry I'll send you a PM. I have it from a good source that the big flatties head up into the shallows during the winter to feed on the BSP at cherry beach.

I was using FinS jigs(smelt). They are killer when you crank with led heads or dropshot. Let me know if you head out, be glad to join.
