Heading up for my first time fishing this area. Fished Bishop and Tioga areas in the past.

I'm looking for any insight into lodging in Mammoth. Specifically somewhere close/walking distance to most of the rest./bars/pubs. This is a guys trip and since we don't have our wives and kids with us, we want to be able to have all the fun we want when not fishing.

We are not looking into any thing fancy, just nice clean rooms. I'm hoping some of you may have some recommendations..We can't wait, I never fished this late in the season in this area.

Thanks
Don

They have a holiday inn in mammoth with a bar in it.
I don't think they allow smoking up there though.
The troutfitter place and the bank and some restaurants were just down the street I think. The lakes were a few miles up the road into the hills.

The Village is in the middle of everything, and is pretty nice. It is a bit expensive but it is really convenient.

Me & My Bro's usually call up Mammoth Lake Properties.
They rent out Ski condos all along Old Mammoth Rd....

We usually get one within stumbling distance to Grumpy's,Roberto's,etc......
