Made a random local trip while my pops was in town. He always comes prepared for work meetings trailer and all lol. Did the og local sesh. Fished south in the grey at surfside for no conditions with only one tres on a 6in hitch swimmie. Shot north to PV for some cooler 67# and crystal water. No conditions here either, no bite. Made our way farther north to pt vicente for purple water and warmer 69.5# temps. Good downhill current had the stringers flowin niceee. I got a couple more decent fish on a hollowbelly swimmie but they were liking the bigger stick baits. My dad was throwing the plug and was catching everything but a bass.....bonie, barrie, and two fly bys from the jellers. We had a school of small grade jellos pushing bait right off our stern. Got things "exciting" for a minute. No go on the plug or anything else we threw, but I got a NICE 6# on that hardbait again. Had to be in by 2 so we made our way back to the ramp but stopped short for birds diving tight to the beach. WIDEEE on the calicos and the pelicans. Boils, birds, clouds of followers. FUN STUFF! Got em on the 6" swimmies and big hammers, hardbait, and iron. No moses, but solid 1-3#ers. And a pelican that went kamikaze for the stickbait. Good ol og local inshore sesh with the pops. STOKED.
