fishnFF is down from out of state to visit family and was able to join me for a trip to my favorite location for some Harbor action!!!!
Tim used to work for me and we have only managed to get out to wet a line 1 time together about 20 months ago. I was able to get my scheduled day off for some fortunate reason to make the trip happen.
Arrived at the ramp near 0730 and were off to explore the vast Harbor. I started off with a small Spottie to show him they were there very quickly.
Only one at the first spot with alot of taps or short bites on the swim baits.
Made a move to a spot that my son Brad had sucess last week only to get set up on it and the Push Tug came in to piok up the load and proceed up the channel with it. As it left the area it mudded up the water and chased off the fish I had meter over the spot.
I picked up 2 more spotties in a channel before I decided it was now time to put the full attention on getting Tim some fish.
As we were moving along throwing the Plastics we were also bouncung Ghosties and Chovie of the bottom.
Now to remind you we were infact on the same boat and Tim got all of his on the soaked bait and I got mine on the plastics. We were soaking the exact baits on like rigs. Just goes to show you how things work out even on a small ride.
So my total attention went to get Tim on some fish and he got busy on them.
Tim ended up with 5 species on his first harbor trip.
2 Smoothies
1 YFC
1 MidShipman
2 Flatties( 1 at 23" and 1 near 18")
1 Spottie( His First)
Slow day for us but Tim was happy to get on some fish and we got to spend the day on the water together.

After CPR we made way for the Whale watching boat to dock up and we noticed a seal with a halibut in his mouth. The little BAS$#$## must have grabbed the flattie on his return trip to the bottom. The seal was flipping the poor guy about 10 feet through the air like a frisbe until it surcombed to be lunch.

Today was about making sure Tim got on some bendo's as the Harbor is my playground and his is way far north from here.
Congrats Tim on the Legal Flattie!!!! We will do it again when you return in the winter>
