Well, I haven't fished San Antonio since last year.
When I lived a Lake Nacimiento, years ago, I would go to S.A. regularly to fish stripers.
They will bite almost any time if you can find them and in shallow water during the warmer water months. A good way to find stripers is to look for feeding cormorants and troll shad pattern lures around the edges of the birds.
If you're shore bound you might try bait fishing stripers and tossing lures between Harris creek launch ram and the store.
Black bass fishing follows the same pattern as most lakes but it seems S.A. gets less pressure than a lot of lakes.
Crappie can really big there but hard to locate depending on the level of the lake. I've caught them over three pounds.
