Took my son out on the Native Sun saturday 8/9

Got to get out on the ocean for the first time in a while. Took my boy out on the Native Sun (Shout out to Ghetto Dad! Thanks) and we did pretty decent on a mixed bag of fish. Captain Rico decided to stay local and hunt for some Sand bass and Cuda, and right off we are into some decent cuda action. I am not much into eating the slimeballs, but they do offer the angler a pretty decent fight pound-for-pound. I was able to land a couple and my son learned that he had to reel pretty fast to beat the sea lions out of a free meal Sea Lions 1 my son 0. He did get his redemtion and was able to land his first Cuda ever. just legal, but none the less he was happy. in between fishing my son found it amusing to play with the birds, and found out why you should not mess with them..(see below)

OUCH! OK so we started to fish for sand bass and hit a few spots, but the bass did not want to bite. Captain decided to put us on some sculpin, and they were WFO, so we ended up with pretty good bags of taco meat. Fun times good boat and a good crew.

Nice to see your Boy get his 1st cuda as well.

Those bird shots were pretty frickin' hillarious. They are real quick.

Ghetto Dad, is one of the coolest cats around. It's always fun when he is around.
