Launched early and picked up some nice sized sardines. We were off to the 267 spot to find some paddies for maybe a dorado/yellowtail. Just before dawn we were in the area found a couple of small kelp paddies. Cut the motor and drift into position. The dorado were there they just didn't want we had. We trolled and fished the live sardines they would take a look but, not bite.

Around 10am we headed towards San Onofre for some bass and maybe a halibut. In water from 125 to 90 feet of we drifted live sardines and fished 1 1/2 leadhead /fishtrap 5" green-orange tail. both did really good. We caught some really nice sand bass( 3-4 pound range). Then some really hearty bonito came through for some fun on the light tackle. No dorado or yellows today for us. But the bass and bonito were a fun time. Sorry no pics yet. My friend did take some/Ill see if he can help. Lots of sea out there right now. Good luck.

Bonito are good if you make sure to bleed them IMMEDIATELY after landing them.
