So left with the family last thursday at 6 am. Was well ready for our 7 day trip. We ended up fishing all over from strams to lakes that were 5 miles in, caught over three hundred fish over the 7 day period. Mostly were stockers but did catch a few browns and brookies at the lakes and higher up in the stream. Here is a few pic from 1 of six cameras we took ( need to wait for the other digital and take the others in to get developed)
This in second lake... a 5 .1 mile hike back in

The hike is not an easy hike yet im pretty sure with 5 pins you would still make it!! It is an awesome hike just about 5 miles in. Yes you can tent camp by the lake but you need a permit which is attainable in bishop. We had planned on camping at the lakes but did not plan far enough ahead to obtain a pass and did not fell like going down the hill the day before to get a walk in pass. I would highly recomend the hike, if possible i would at least go to sam mack meddows which is around 9 miles but it is beautiful. Defanetly worth it!!!
