MDR Rpt 8/6 w-pics

[Red Drum]

Took my little red aluminum boat “Red Drum” out for an evening Bass trip with Jason “jscrib”. The wind was blowing about 12-15 knots, so it made for a bumpy ride. The rain slickers sure came in handy.

We caught one short Halibut, a Sculpin and a bunch of Calico and Sand Bass.

Here I am with my biggest Sand Bass of the evening, a nice 22 ½ incher. That spawning male Bass pulled like a fish twice his size.

I had a great time fishing my little boat, just wish the wind would’ve laid down. Can’t wait to do it again

Rd, nice report as always and good job on the bass. By the way how big is your aluminum skiff. I was wondering since a buddy of mine has a 14fter with a 9.9hp outboard and wonder if its too small for the same type of fishing?
