Went with the family to Port Hueneme between the pier and the smoke stacks. Fished with both an LC100 along with the Gulp Cameo Worms on a Carolina rig. Fished for over 6 hours only to pick up 5 dink perches. Conditions were tough. Waiting for my Calico Cocktail Sauce before heading further north.

I work at Port Hueneme and know the spots pretty good Try the breakwall north of the pier. There's a new walkway and lights,ect. It's a long hike to the curve in the jetty,the current runs by the curve and it's the most productive spot I found so far.Nice opal eye and I caught a 2# cabezon on a tube jig there,threw him back, beautiful coloration on that creature. Huge jack smelt, up to 22", they fight hard, and small sand bass, fun place to fish. A bike would be ideal here.Watch the conditions,waves can come right over the jetty at times.
