Sad to say i was not the lucky angler on this trip. I had to report it such an incredible report. Dana Wharf had a whopping 9 anglers am halfday.

27 Albacore 3 per angler.
40 Yellowtail 5 per rod.
32 Dorado
90 Calico bass limits.
8 whitefish
3 barracudas
11 Bonitos
10 rockfish

That seems to be a lot of fish for a half day trip. Anyone lucky enough tobe on this trip?

My guess is they accidentally mixed two reports into one. Even so, 90 calico on a half day is damn good. =p

*Edit* I checked it out. It was actually a two day trip.

Do any of the 1/2 day boats out of Dana get into YT or Albies? I've never been on a boat down there myself so I was just wondering.

I've never heard of a 1/2 day getting into albies, but theres always a small chance of yellowtail.

Actually, there have been dorado caught on a 1/2 day and 3/4 out of dana and newport. Hopefully more numbers will show up.

Yellowfin tuna skipjack yellowtail dorado on 1/2 day boats before. I had a feeling this was not a half day report. Still good counts for a two day.

Aboard the San Diego out of Seaforth. We was fishing a paddy outside the rockpile. We also killed the yellowfin, dorado and yellowtail. When the Dorado come in close 1/2 day boats can score big time. Dana is usually the best spot for this.

Global warming in effect fo sho.

Never used to catch dorados on the half day's or 3/4 days except for the el nino years.

Now we get em every year in south OC and they even got em today on the Sport King in San Pedro.

Probably just a few more years before we start catching wahoo on the half days.

WAHOO!!!
