it was 8/4 not the fifth,so ron and i decide to go on a 3/4 day sense we missed the one with kevn and jimmy on sunday and davys is the closest landing to us so we decided to go there. we thought that we were just going to go after the sand bass and mabey some cudas but the captain says were going paddy hopping for do do's and yellows. greast choice by the captain. we stop at a couple only see a couple yellows and dorados then we stop at the 5th or so paddy and i was the first one to hook up with A YELLOW then about 6 other people hooked up i ended up loosing that fish because some retard with a rental rod was crossed over me and doing something stupid i dont even know what. so i re tie and cast back out first cast i get a dorado on but i loose this one too because my line was put on wrong and it wouldnt go out whent he fish was pulling the drag. ron also hooked up here and lost his fish due to retarded people not knowing what they were doing. but after i re tie again i hook up with this 20lb yellow. http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f33/christianmetalhead909/BradsPics219.jpg

we fish there for another 30 min i would say and nothing much more, then we go to a couple more paddies with nothing and we end up at catalina and the fish were every where yellows boiling everywhere, all i hear is stern port starbord bow it was crazy every one was running and going crazy, but there were only fifteen people on the baot so it was not to bad.
also there were people going for bass there and being very sucesfull. every cast with a plastic was killing them. i didnt get any more yellow love but i did catch a lot of bass only kept oine he was going to die. after that ron hooks up with a yellow and the fight was on, i was helping him land the fish more then fishing because this was his fist exotic so i wasnted to make sure he landed it. here are some pics from his fight.

Nice fish!

I'm presuming you went on the Freelance, right?

Good job on the fish. Too bad about the newbies too. Read my report and you won't feel so bad.

yes on the freelance, i was using 25 lb line but maybe thats why i was notgetting bit the big yellows were caught on spinning reels with 15 or 20 lb test. we lost a lot of fish because people were going down to fifteen and kept breaking off.
