Mahi / Yellows

Fished with a couple of buddies on Saturday out of Point Loma. Left SI at 2:30 we were 30 miles south by 5am. ( around the 425 bank)

Lines in at grey light and first fish on the troll 30 minutes later 8 lb dorado. Josh Gets his 1st dodo, and it is his b-day.

Nice birthday gift.

We moved out of the area looking for new water. About 2 hrs later we found the Mac Daddy Paddy. Birds working, could tell this was looking GOOD :EyePop:

Throw a couple of baits and it is Game on!! Yellows and dodo's for what turned out to be about a 2 hour stop.
Nice grade yellows 15-20 lbs. Doritos on the small side, 8 lb average but we did manage a few at 12-15lbs.

Limits of Mahi and about 9 of the nicer grade Yellows . Since we moved away from the fleet we had this one to ourselves for a while.

TOO SWEET!!

Moved on in hopes of getting some tuna. We came across them but never put a hook in one. We did get knocked down by a marlin but didn't stick him.

Good Times........... good friends and great fishing!!

Nothing like getting them on a small boat!!
