This is my girlfriend and I. She caught her first legal sand bass and you can tell how much she enjoyed the thrill of catching a fish by the smile on her face. I was extremely glad that we caught something that day because now she's completely hooked on fishing!

that's something i found out too. if you're going to take a girl out fishing, you better make sure you're going to catch something or you're never going with her again :) targeting perch may be the way to go for a first "fishing date".

My girlfriends first fishing date was great, and I will share the story.

We went to lake perris the day after I fished it alone. The bite was stupid wide open, dropshotting at the PWC ramp. When we got there I setup all the rods, got the cooler from the truck bed, and got ready for the trip. We started to walk to the water and about halfway down she said she had to go pee. Normally I would tell her to go, and meet me at the water when she was done, but I said " I better wait because i dont want you to miss seeing me catch the first fish, I'm going to catch one on the first cast."

I waited for her to get done in the bathroom, and we walked to the water together.....Can you guess what happened on the first cast???? She has been hooked (pun intended) ever since. I hooked and handed about 10 fish in an hour and a half.

thanks for your support, thats not a M249 in the pic it's a M240B the beast its 28lbs and fires the 7.62 round I carried it up and down Mountains in Afghanistan 100 rds weighs 7lbs and i carried 600rds = 42lbs+28lbs=70lbs and that does not include my gear for a 3-5 day mission we carried everything on our back (food,water,socks,radio,gps,night vision,thermal vision, range finder, sleeping gear, change of clothes, I.V bags/med bag, batteries..... so your ruck would weigh around 60-75lbs my asst. gunner had to help me up when I would sit down. so on average I would be have about 145lbs on me. that could have a lot to do with my recent back surgery, that or the 22 foot fall I took out there on a night raid. man I'm not sure where this came from I just wanted to say it was not a SAW. but thanks for your support

Sorry it took so long to Respond Sgt. I Usually only stay on the base for 3 days. then Off on partol for the rest of the week.
