Went down to the pier at around 2:30pm and tossed out some shrimp out towards the end of the pier. I quickly hooked a ton of small striped fish, around 7 or 8. then some rubberlip perch were caught, one about 7 inches and the other was around 9 inches. Then I walk to the other part of the pier, toward the snack shack, and quickly land a nice yellowfin croaker. It put up a nice fight. Then I was suprised when a fish bit and started to put up a great fight, when I pulled it up, It turned out to be a baby white seabass! I quickly released him. The last fish of the day was a tiny queenfish.

All fish were released.

A legal WSB would have been really nice! Sounds like a good day. :Big Grin:

Sounds like a great day on the pier! Also, mussels are great bait on that pier. When the surf isn't so rough, try throwing a 5/8oz croc lure, right behind the surf line, on an incoming high tide. Good halibut spot! Live or fresh dead 'chovies on a slider rig.
