Has anyone fished there or can you fish at all in the bay???

In the actual back bay - (above the PCH bridge) - you can fish at the base of the Dover cliffs, (the cliffs you can see from the bridge), access that from Polaris Drive near Westwind. You can fish at the dead end of North Star or on North Star Beach next to the aquatic center if they (the aquatic center folks) aren't monopolizing the beach. You can fish the rip-rap on Back Bay Drive at the big turn about a quarter mile above San Joaquin Hills Road (although, right now there's a dredge pipe running through there that might prevent you from being able to fish there). You can fish next to the north end of the Jamboree Bridge where San Diego Creek comes into the Back Bay. (You have to stay within about 30 feet of the bridge there or you get into the closed area). Everywhere else is closed to entry due to the Ecological Reserve.
