I.B. Half Hour Session

Good morning. Went down to surf fish I.B. this morning and met up with GOTFISHUES. He lent his rig to me for about half hour and was get hit hard with bites every cast but wasn't settin the hook right until my last cast i got 5-6" surf perch. but all an all it was a great time. got give thnaks to GOTFISHUES for hooking it up with the rod and real set up with "berk all natural crack worm" on a carolina rig. good luck

perch fishing can be tricky sometimes...

it might not be your hook setting...it might be because the perches (with small mouths) are nibbling on the bait as oppose to swallowing the whole bait, which makes it difficult to set the hook. ;)

it was cool crossing paths this mo'nin, heres your fish, i caught about three more after you left totaling roughly 13-15, with my share of misses for sure. tossed the L/C into an order of surf&salad for an accumulative 3.5 hours with no love, but familiarized myself with all the different types of seaweed I.B. has to offer.
