I just bought me a couple of LC's after seeing so many of you catching nice fish with them. I fish with plastic most of time at the jetty. What is the best retrieve and technique for LC 110 at the jetty and the surf? I only caught two small cuda yesterday at the jetty, btw. i was only straight reeling it in.
Thank you in advance for all your help.

Slow retrieve will work great with most of the fish and majority of the time. It's a jerkbait. Try jerk, pause, retrieve, jerk, pause...This will get you on fish also.

Experience is worth more than lure colors or shapes.

Use a fan patten when casting and vary speed and depth until
you find out what works

slow retrieve slow retrieve slow retrieve. every now and then pause it let it sit then slow retrieve back in..but yes its all in exsperience and technique ive seen alot of people fishing LC's next to me at bolsa same color same technique same pattern and i end up getting 10 and they get zero and they were getting upset so its mostly exsperience.

i tend not to jerk it!! ya that was childish of me haha..but dont jerk..instead of jerking do a pause every now and then sometimes they will hit on the pause and sometimes a couple seconds after.

i know the pointer 128 is a different bait, but the bass love when you rip that thing as fast as you can grind it.

true, we love to fish in tight so we catch many a bycatch buttskis on the stickbaits and cranks. Ive been toying with the weedless swimmies as well. Seems like it would be a great beach bait. Cuts straight through kelp and white seabags with ease.

I start with a slow retrieve and when the bite dies off start in with a bit of jerking. When I jerk it, I usually jerk it twice followed by slack line and a 3 second pause or so. Then I'll reel it in 1/3 of the way slowly and repeat. I try not to jerk the LCFM110 too much cause it makes it a bit harder for the fish to nail it. I've accidentally jerked it away from following fish that I could plainly see missed it because I was jerking. For this reason I make it dance about 1/3 of the way in, and about 2/3's of the way in, with steady reelling between the jerk/pause.

No jerkin pun intended..
