Pics should come later.

The day started off late. Almost to late. My alarm clock must be broken it is set for 5am and did not go off until 11am.

After getting the gang ready for a day of fishing in the harbor. We set off.

Nothing would bite at all. Then my friend got a strike and a crank bait he was tossing. He starts to fight then the fight dies. He was depressed that he might have lost the only fish for the day. After that he decided to crank it back in then the fight picked back up. I guess the fish had given up. Then he gets it out of the water. An ugly needle fish ugh he says.

After that we decided to walk over to seal beach for some surf fishing. The bite started off really slow there as well. Too slow. Then the sun had just started to move out of site and the night was falling on us quickly. Then my friends pole bends he sets the hook and says fish on!!

He was excited to find he caught a Halibut, it was short though.

Then the pressure was on my to catch some fish. I could not get them to bite on the big hammers on cranks jigs nothing. So I switched to Gulp bait sand worms. I started to toss those out for a bit. Not to much action. Then I saw a large set and decided to try something I've never done on seal beach before. I waited until the wave just about crested and cast my rig like a bullet into it. Instantly I got hit. So I reeled in my catch to find an average size yellowfin croaker.

I managed 2 more before my friends and I decided to call it a day and have a great meal a Mae's Cafe.

Total fish for the day.

Steve: 1 needle fish
Anthony: 1 short Halibut.
My self: 3 yellowfin croaker.

I will try to get pics later.
