They work. I put a bunch of large ones on a sabiki. Croaker seem to love them. Still didnt try out the mosquito fish, but i suppose they would do very well..

Soo... all in all yesterday morning...

13 mackerel. 5 dink croakers. and some kind of fish ive never seen before.. looked related to scorpionfish, but was really flat. like.. it was weird. lol.


So if you guys can find em, give it a shot! It should work well at the bays.

My testing ground was the pier at HB, as usual.

I think I caught one of those off the HB pier once. The slime was kinnda sticky and the fish was a little tough SOB!!!

It was sorta like that, but alot flatter. It looked really mean and kept trying to bite me. It did look related to that frog/toadfish though.

hey smoke sounds like we caught the same type of fish. The one I caught was small but kept tryin to bite me too. I wonder what those tough little buggers are and why they arent scared after being pulled up 30 ft.???
