I heard from Jimmie its max depth at the dam is about 70'. Hence the trout dying off :(
Trout love 57F which seems to be the magic #
Catfish and Bass love the warmer temps I hear.
They are putting in Kitties all summer =_)

thanks for the info.
I was in Colorado last year in October fishing trout, weather outside was 20 degrees and I noticed with the colder weather the trout were WFO. No sooner was the bait in the water that a fish was on.

Sebastian:
In a non-moving body of water that isn't fed water, I believe it's all about the O2 load (ability of lake to stratify and turnover enough times through the year to mix the 3 strata) and reasonable water clarity.
