Late report..
The Hali is not ours.
We lost one that was bigger than 36" butt smaller than the 50" one in the pics!

Cudas were caught just east of the tankers off Seal Beach.
The big one went 9.5 + lbs.
Took 8 cudas home .. Released too many to count!
Enjoy the pics

Hi San Felipe Bob,

Sounds like a cool trip. What boat were you fishing?

Thanks for the nice report and pics,

Ron,
We fished the SS SFB. AKA my 17' Mercury inflatable.
We used a total of 6 gallons of fuel round trip!
Split between 3 guys.
Budget trip!

Hi again San Felipe Bob,

A BUB !! (Blow Up Boat) WTG on the low-cost trip !! Makes one able to go out whenever the urge strikes and stay out only as long as it strike one !! Little fuss or moss !! Now that would be fun !! Me .... float-tube, yak (sold recently) so I know the advantages of the smaller, shallower draft fishing platforms !!

I'm impessed !!
