I think I'll finally at least get these pics put up here. I spent over an hour and a half writing up the story - and what a great story this trip was! - but I couldn't get it saved to email for backup for some reason, and unfortunately the original post went "into the abyss". (Sigh)

I guess the good thing is these are just pics of me anyway (instead of others on the boat - who's pics I don't have access to yet)......so I was feeling a bit sheepish about making this look like "The Story Of The Great ME" anyway. But I think you'll know how wonderful of a day it was for me (and many others) with these pics!.......and maybe I'll add the story later once I get over the frustration of it being "zapped" in the first place.

Well there you go! And if pictures are indeed worth a thousand words, then I just saved you from having to read 5,000 words! (Probably a good thing I lost the story, huh?!) ;)

I do want to at least briefly mention how much I enjoy fishing on the Mirage! Captains Tucker and Apollo put us on fish all day on this overnight charter.....Ryan and Dan were great deck hands and fun to be around.......and Andrew was a cool guy (and DODGER FAN) and made a tasty burger - which you'll hear about if/when I decide to try and repost "the story". To my friend Todd from Valley Window and Doors (who's charter this was, and who is Michelle's husband)......thank you again so much for the invite, and the awesome times yet again!

-Alan "Dodger Doggy"

P.S. Thanks Troutdog for helping me out with photoshop so my PBs didn't only come out as thumbnails!

Hi DogerDoggy,

Great bunch of fish. Always love the photos !!

When I started writing extensive reports ..... after a bad experience such as yours ... I vowed to not let it happen EVER again !

Solution ...... Write your report in Word !! Doh ! Just teasing !! And .... yes .... save the document numerous times during the writing in case of other wierd happenings.

Thanks, await your next report.

The Mirage is awesome. Joe wasn't running the boat? Hmm. Maybe he had the day off, heck we all deserve a day off here and there! ;)

Congrats on the seabass AND the halibut! Man, what a day!!!

Thanks, everyone! And no, Brian, no Captain Joe that day. He was indeed the Captain the first time I went out, but to be honest I didn't even ask where he was this time - and as you can see, the boat did pretty well that day without him, huh?!

Knew you'd like FNN, Mike! Glad you became active.......now be NICE! lol

Good to hear from you again Troutdog (yeah, right.....we don't hear from each other often enough the way it is?!).......and yes - awesome time over the weekend. That's the thing for me about fishing.....I can have just as much fun catching and releasing Balboa tilapia surrounded by kids as I can landing monsters on the ocean on a boat! Either way, it's a "happy place", huh?!

That's right, TB.......darn nice of them, huh? You'll notice nobody wore your "catfish gloves" either! lol (I'd say you're just jealous, but then you'd start comparing your Angels to my Dodgers - or worse, remind me about Brand leaving my Clips yesterday! Ouch.)

Yeah, David, I know what you mean about "Captain Tucker" sounding wierd! I mean, a 12 year old Captain?! :D But I'm telling you......he worked hard, and he got us on fish! (Joe must have taught him well!)

Thanks again, all.....that was the trip of a lifetime! (Um........I mean so far.) ;)

LOL......sorry to bring up an old(ish) thread, but my computer hadn't told me I got responses, and I missed everyone's nice comments from OFG on untill tonight! Thanks so much!

And WHAT?!.........I got "Picture of the Week" and completely missed it?!

I laughed so hard I spit water (as far as you know)!:LOL:

To think I missed out on being able to milk being "the man" for a little extra time! (I crack myself up.)

I did look at your number on the way out of the harbor, Omar. That counts.

Thanks again, everybody. You let me relive that again. OK.......you can stop now. ;)
