Try saying "Santa Barbara Silver Salmon" three times fast...

And who are those other guys?

Anyhow, nice work Arthur! When you are rich(er) and famous we'll all be able to say we knew you when you were just another Joe average fishing a tepid pond of reclaimed water in the Valley.

Nice job Arthur, catching that Salmon is almost like getting a Royal Flush at the tables.

World Series of Poker 08 update:
Blackwater - Knocked out last night in the first round (oh well, I tried).
Wingnut is the only one still playing out of the five of us in the main event. Arthur survived a grueling first day with only about half of his stack left. The next round for him is on Tuesday. GO WINGNUT! The dream is still alive.

The two gentlemen was Ken and Mark. We run into them from time to time whenever we head North. Very nice people and great sportsman.

And you're right Tim, I will never forget where I came from... Lake Balboa still beckons... :Envious:

Thanks Roy, it was fun, but not a good chance that I will make it past the second round though. Out of the $20,000 in chips that I started the tournament with, only $12,000 is left. In the early stages you're supposed to build your chip stack, not go in the opposite direction. I have to fly back up there on Tuesday for the second round... not really looking forward to it at all.
But I'm home now and will be hitting the surf in a few hours. It's all good! :Envious:

I think that guy are your righthand side is Ken Hanley. I have his book he wrote about fly fishing the surf. That fish is a catch of a life time and I hope you knock out a couple of pros at the WSOP.
