Well the stars lined up and away we went on the on another trip to the sierra's. I just got back and I'm can't sleep even though I'm beat from another whirlwind trip. Me, chuckemback and another buddy Nick took off for a 3 dayfloat tube assault mission at Gull and Saddlebag. I forgot too buy another water tight box for the camera so there's no on the water shots but the stockers were plenty and chuckemback and myself both got non photographed brookie's at Saddlebag but we released them right away instead of kicking to shore with them.
Nator's pops ran down and got us a spot at Gull acroos the path from the water and we were able trap mini lobster's and launch the tubes 30 seconds away from camp it was awesome! Finishing off a 18 pack while float tubing in waders not awesome. I had to kick back to **** every hour and usually got bit on the way back and felt like an old man cause I could barely make it to the pisser with my legs crossed each trip, then like an idiot I would grab a water and 2 more pale ale's and repeat this step. Each of us did this all day and it made for a workout. That evening we caught a dozen and a half dads before dark and soaked one trap for the night. We got way too drunk while eating steak and mini lobster and ended up finishing off almost 90 dollars in beer the first day we were there, bummer.

I left my truck window down and a racoon helped himself to a piece of pop tart in my truck and left foot prints on the hood it was cool since everthing else was in the bear locker. The second morning was way slow at Gull so we hit Saddlebag it was blast we caught and released stocker size trout and trout just dumped by 2 stock trucks for hours and literally could not cast anymore because whatever trout tackle you threw was picked up like a wide open mackeral bite. We left there took pics of some scenery and a limit of bleeders I kept and went and got drunk next to the lake at our campsite like derelict kids.

We had to leave this morning but had plans to fish somewhere so with heavy hearts and tired hungover bodies we broke camp and packed the chevy. Just as we where leavin our neighbor offered us an hour's work moving cabinets for his daughter in town there and with gas prices and beer guzzlin how could we refuse. It ended up being a kitchen cabinet set that needed to hit the second story of a remodel it was a 30 minute workout and we got 20 $ each which was quickly spent at the tiger bar on omellettes and beer for the non driver's and coffee for me it was great. We decided to hit convict since it's right off 395 but it was crowded and all we found were stockers near the creek outlet even though I made the hour long kick into the back for no hits after quickly catching and releasing 5 and keeping 3 bleeders. Nick forgot his waders in the tree near camp and had to go all the way back to Gull for them, but there was no worries since we befriended the neighbor we knew they would save them for him. i forgot to take pic's there but it is a great lake to enjoy the views.
After we left there we saw a road south of lone pine heading off into the moutain and Nick said he knew that road and there was creek back there his grandpa used to fish. I have never fished creeks they are to small and frustrating to me and have never paid off the few times I tried to fish them for few minutes and scared everthing away. But when we pulled up and overlooked a section of pools i could see everthing i've read and knew I would find native trout. It was wide open on brown's and the occasional rainbow that must have been stocked we had a blast I got pic's of a few but broke my **** camera 10 minutes into the hike, that was the second one in 2 months. I'll try to post up what lures and flies we used tommorow this was just long enough to put me to sleep

yes there's like 6 on the lake and 10 across the path all great spots the camphost's are great at keeping the bath room and sites clean and have won ribbons for it. the sites on the lake are great if you get them you can beach your personal watercraft for free at your site. reversed creek campground across the street is run by the same couple and is 10 a night instead of 18 and is just as nicely maintained, and usually has an open spot when your desperate
