Location Fished: Front side of Catalina Island
Bait available: Anchovies, Sardines, and cut up squid.
Types of fishes caught today on the Pursuit :Calico bass, barracuda, blue perch, sheephead, bonita, white seabass, and yellowtail
What I caught:
Limits of bonita (average 2-3lbs) caught on anchovies
1 barracuda caught on sardine
5 calico bass (average 13-16 inches) caught on sardines
1 yellowtail 17lbs caught on the surface iron mint color Tady 45
According to 976-tuna the fish count for today was:35 passengers caught 2 Yellowtail 1 White Seabass 118 Calico Bass 3 Barracuda 3 Sheephead 106 Bonito 103 Perch
I had a great time fishing today, and would like to thank the crew aboard the Pursuit for all their hard work.

Way to go!.. i went out on the freedom the same day.. but didnt have as much luck.. no YT or WSB came over the rails but alot of quality Calicos...

Just got back from another trip aboard the Pursuit. There were easy over 60 other passengers. Got lazy today and didn't take any pictures. I won jackpot from the day before, and exchange it for a free pass which I used today. I didn't catch much today, since I spent most of the day throwing the Tady mint 45 from the bow of the boat. I hooked a larger model yellow, but after a long hard fought battle, he won his freedom. I hook him on my 90j & trinidad 20 combo fishing 40lbs XXX line by izorline. I'd pulled too hard since the fish was heading for kelpline and lost it. It seems like everyone caught fish today, there were plenty of calico bass, bonita, and barracuda caught today. Over all it was a fun trip, even though I only caught 2 legal calico, a short cuda, and some bonita. I would like to thank the crew for staying later than normal.

congrats on the yellow i fished the pursuit a couple weeks ago and i thought it was too small for the amount of people they booked i had to store my rods in the trash can. a loomis gl2, a calcutta 700 te and a new loomis swimbait rod with a daiwa luna 300. Then the older black in your pics started to cut leader line off one of my set-ups that i was using. The captain did put us on thew fish
