Need help on fishig Redondo Beach Pier

Next Monday, I will be taking my family to Redondo Beach Pier and I will have time for myself for some fishing there while they do their thing. I have not fished there for over 15 years, so I need help on what to do. I will be taking two of my freshwater spinning rods with 6# and 8# lines, LC 110, Gulp Baits, and freshwater bass tackle. My knowledge in saltwater fishing is very limited, so I need suggestions on what to do and where to fish to catch those halibuts and bass.:confused:

For Butts I suggest you tack you LC and walk the beach...forget the pier.

It's been a while but I remember using cut mackerel and squid off the pier. The only thing I can remember catching there is short halis and mainly rays. Good luck!

Don't forget mackerel .... if you fish for cats, then u should pick up a good amount of macks.....
