I shared this with Sue to get her grillin'

Very easy.

Asparagus
Olive Oil
Garlic Salt

Wash and cut off bottom of asparagus.
Pat dry,lay on platter, cover with Olive oil.
Sprinkle with Garlic Salt.

Put on grill (across the grates, not with, for obvious reasons);)

Turn regularly until flimsy.....Not soggy or black that would be too much..

Simple procedure, some people don't realize, but it is delicious...:Envious:

So CalGuy, you're right on with this recipe!!! This IS the best way to make asparagus!!!!! I would like to add my own slight variation to this tho. Try Lowry's seasoning salt instead of garlic salt, and I like to cook them till they are very limp and somewhat blackened on the tips. Personally, I think the crispy black tips taste good!!

Tip: Place the clean, dry asparagus in a Zip-Loc bag and pour in a few tablespoons of EVOO. Shake a generous amount of seasoning salt into the bag, then message by hand till all asparagus are coated well w/EVOO and salt.

en-yoy!:)

Take a thin slice of good ham and wrap it around the asparagus, make a good treat.

Try this same technique with:

Zucchini
Any Squash (yellow crookneck, the ones shaped like flying saucers, etc)
Mushrooms
Scallions
Bell peppers
Tomatos (careful, don't cook 'em too long)

Just keep flippin' 'em
