Does anyone know the distance from Oceanside to Catalina Is.?

.....Ummm.....SO would it be smarter to make the drive north to launch out of Davies in Long Beach?....?????

Launching out of Cabrillo going directly to the frontside of the island is the shortest distance from any boat launch. It should be just slightly over twenty miles.

Hey Eric how have you been? Yah heading out next weekend with a few of my Devildawg buddies. I want to know whats the shorties distance to get to Cat Is from the mainland. I live in SD county now. I know that San Pedro is the shortest but it makes no sence to drive up and down and waste gas towing a boat...u know what I mean...looking at the map...maybe DP is my best bet.

If you use the google measurement tool this is the results. The boat launch out of Newport says it is in the back bay. If that is the case there will be a fair amount of no wake water to cover before you hit open water.
I am not familiar with Dana Point.
