hey overnighters north of oc are primarily gonna go to channel island and go for rockfish and halis if you wanna get into good sport fish ie. yellows and white sea bass but dont wanna drive far try the boats outta berth 55 i think the eldorado is still running overnights from there and the big game 90 might still be in long beach marina try the websites both good boats have gotten plenty of fish from mike and eddy.

Given the choice I would jump on the Freedom out of San Pedro....my personal favorite overnight boat hands down.

Looking forward to the report Jesse.

Freedom out of 22nd. St. Landing. Captain's Tom Lee and Mike Frank know how to find the fish and the crew is excellent. I have caught more fish on that overnight boat than any other that I've been on.

Yah, I agree with the comments, keep a daily watch on the fish counts out of the Channel Islands. If the YT and WSB, start to bite, get on a boat out of Port Hueneme, the Mirage is a great boat, if its chartered, try the Pacific Eagle. Good luck!

Lemme know if you decide on the Freedom, I have a couple of $5 discount coupons I would be happy to mail out to you. Not a big discount, but with gas prices as they are every buck counts.
