fishing the wall: AM

I understand that most people fish the wall at night for calicos and sandies. However, i am not experienced with the area so i will be making an AM trip to the area.
Which launch ramp facility is best from your guys' experiences? South Shores? Davies?

And how do you guys fish the wall during the AM hours? Inside or out? Is there a difference in bait selection when fishing the AM hours instead of PM.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
