We charted the Ultra out of Newport Landing, on Friday, June 6th, for our annual White Seabass hunt. Left the dock at 9:00 pm on Thursday, started fishing around 2:30am. The fishing was tough throughout the day. Ended up with a few nice fish, 52# , 35# 22#ers. I have to mention, that Glen, on the left, caught his 52 pounder, on 18 pound test line. Picked up a couple of nice halibut too. All in all, a good day on the water, Capt, Brian and crew, worked hard to find fish for us. Eight white seabass were hooked, only three brought on board, a few of the guys got a little too excited when they saw there fish come up. Live and learn. As soon as the water settles down a bit, look out !

Hi Drew Ranch, Glen was the only one brave enough to use 18# test, Most of us were using 25-30# they did not seem to be line shy. Nick, in the photo on the right, was using 40#.

right on! I bet his heart was going once he relized he had some thing real nice on that light setup.

18lb line with a 52# WSB must have been a great fight!

Way to go!!!
