dont have a flash minnow but i do have a american shad pointer, shallow sardine xrap, and numerous swimbaits

If your looking for the legals spend the extra cash and pick up one of the LC's like Zombie Bass said. Works eveytime

Just remember that surf is different from the jetty. Once its in close, you have to bring it in fast or else the jetty will swallow it and never give it back. Just be careful with the expensive/no longer made ones, cuz i know they're very easy to lose out there.

I know when you said you lost one, you meant a lure not a fish rite? I never seen anyone catch any Halis there. Only Baby Perch. I got skunked at Bolsa Chica numerous times. I guess I'll try Newport/Wedge next.

PS. Braid Sucks.. can't keep if from backlashing...
