Tsurikichi-sama,
Great report. I still can't believe that a Sand Bass would out weigh a legal barracuda. Did anyone check for lead in the bass??

Also, I enjoyed the "Taboo" section.
I used to work at a Japanese restaurant and remember being told "Touch my knife, lose a finger!" I think it's a general rule in all kitchens, never EVER touch another person's knife.
That being said, I always wondered why deckies would leave their knives out in the open. Haven't they learned that there will always be a noob or idiot (not the same thing) that will grab the knife??

Hey JapanRon,

Awesome report. I saw the Victory while I was on the Enterprise on the 30th, I wasn't sure if you were on the boat but did try looking for you in your usual spot but the Victory was just a bit too far from the Enterprise...hahaha I was on the portside. Looks like you guys did okay, we ended up with some sculpin and groupers but no barracudas that day. I only found out the Enterprise ran into barracudas the next day! doh!

Hi funjunkie74,

That was an awesome report there buddy. Read it twice !!

Boo hoo .... Catalina trip cancelled on the Vic tomorrow !!

Ya it was pretty funny. There is a boat knife they let the patrons use to cut Squid and that's ok BUT ... Poor Carl had just pulled out his own knife and whetstone from his hide-away and took it to the board when he got called away. Returning to the board, there's this guy whetting away on his knife !! ha ha ha ha

later,
