Any suggestions on trouts in cachuma? I went up there a few years ago and brought home some nice pink meat trouts (prob. steelheads). went back up there last year for nothing. Heading up there this weekend for some camping. Any suggestions??? Thanks.

Mohawk is always a good area to fish from. I always like fishing from the dock with 15 inch leaders for powerbait and silver kastmasters and white mini jigs.

Also the cat bite is picking up at night near the ucsb rowboat dock. Mackeral and nightcrawlers scented with crawfish scent is the ticket.

I have been there a bunch this season and the trout bite goes off in the mornings. To the left of the boat launce produces well. Weighted bobber and worm works well for me.

Would that be inside or outside the marina area? I remembered they had those logs to block off the marina area. Anywhere good by the dam? We're also renting a boat. Thanks for all your help. Cheers!

Hot spot for trout is all the way outside to the left of the marina where that cliff comes to a point.

on a bobber?

last time i fished with them i put a small spilt shot above the hook about 1 foot to 2 and a half feet...let sink to bottom...keep the slack outta line after it hits bottom...
