The bro and I took our Nephew John out for a day of fishing today, he does not get out too often, but we will change that! Anyways, we launched from Dana Point at 0500. Bait at Ca Bait Co. was a mix of med dines and chovies in good shape. We started off in search of the Cuda that had popped up yesterday off San Clemente. We traveled south in 100-150 ft of water from the harbor to the domes, along with a couple Dana boats, we never found them, just lots of bait. I dont know yet if the Dana boats found them. We ended up at the domes drifting for Halibut, got two, a 21.5 incher and a dink, no keepers. We also fished the Kelp off San O for some bass, think we got about 15 or so, 5-7 being legal. All in all, it was a nice day on the water, sunny all day and the wind was not too bad. The Halibut just did not realize what a nice day it was and did not come out and play.
Here is a few pics.

HESBROS,

Nice to see you guys get the ride out down at your favorite location. Thanks for some nice pics on what looks like a nice day out there!!!

Glad to see you got on some Sandies and the near miss on the 1 Flattie!! I am sure you guys are going though withdrawals on the big guys and just happy to see a Flattie on board. You will find them soon!!!!!!!!!!

John got a nice Shovel there!!! They are a great fight.

Rich's photo with the Little Flattie looks like it is silk screened on his shirt. Maybe photo can be used for a future HESBROS SHIRT (GOT BAIT).

Thanks for the report!!!

I PM'd you about a possible Butt and Spottie trip to NPH next Tuesday.
