I haven't had a chance to fish in a while but managed to get out for a few hours today. I decided to hit up Hollywood Beach a few hours before high tide. I believe I started fishing around 10:30 am. Sky was overcast with a breeze coming from the west, water was cold. I walked down to a sandbar and started fishing. I tried using MORF grubs for a little while, but no luck on those, so I switched to GSW bloody. I caught about a dozen BSP while I was on the sand bar, but the tide was coming in and I soon found the water and current getting stronger and opted to head back to the beach before it got too bad. I wandered the beach for a little bit and noticed many dying or dead baby spider crabs and rock crabs on the beach. I also saw lots of sand crab beds :D. So I dug up some sand crabs and caught a handful of bsp on those. I did see one corbina in the surf, but couldn't get him to bite. Decided to call it a day around 2pm. I had lots of fun and caught some fish. All perch were c&r with a few cpr. Hope you enjoyed the read. 187
