My son Brad and I had the pleasure to host our invited guest non other than Wingnut on my private boat for a change of pace for him at my favorite location the NPH.

We spent weeks working out work schedules and details to make it happen. As the day approached, mother nature began to make me wonder if yet another definite opportunity to get together and after a few near miss meetings it would finally happen.

We finalized the plans to meet Friday night as the sky was still spitting on the ground. Arthur met us at my place at 0530 and a short time we were off for the harbor.

Arrived at 0700 and received a free Pre-launch Safety Inspection from the OC Sherriff Detail as we were prepping the boat. In the water shortly after fired it up, parked the vehicle and was ready to go. Untied and the motor decided to stop. Had to change plugs as they decided to foul for the first time and make me wonder if we were actually going to get out.

As we worked on the problem Me and Arthur discussed that no matter what if we had to somehow fish the Harbor in another fashion it was going to happen.

Yes!!!!! She Started and we were off!!

The action started off slow with me picking up a dink Sandie at the first location and Arthur and Brad got on the board with Spotties at the second.

Although I would not consider the day wide open it was a very good and productive day in the usual spots as well a some new locations I had an idea might produce and they did that for sure.

Enough of the Blah! Blah! Blah!!

I took over 60 Photos today!!!!!!!! So here you go!

Wingnut at the launch and ready to get to the action!

The Trolling Motor Battery was very close to dead and forced us to call it a day just before darkness set in .

What a fantastic day for me and my son Brad to host a true Sportsman on board our ride and have the day that we had together and will be remembered for a long time. We exchanged stories, knowledge and will get together again.

All CPR'D

Thank's Wingnut (Arthur)

Steve, it was a pleasure teaming up with you & Brad to fish the NPH Saturday. I really love that place, beautiful homes, mind blowing yatchs, eye candy galore and great fishing too. We caught so many Bass between the three of us that I lost count. I got the Flat Boys that I came for... even if that first one was legal, it would have swam free anyways. The funnest or saddest, which ever way you look at it was when I got spooled. That fish grabbed my swimbait with fury and stripped the line off my Sephia so fast you didn't even have time to start up the boat and follow it. You guys could tell that I was stunned for a moment. Probably a big Shark or Bat Ray (I caught a Bat Ray today by the way.). I'm glad that I was able to join you guys, finally! Thanks for showing me a new playground, we'll definitely do it again as soon as our schedule align once again. You & your son are class acts and ardent FNN Team 57 supporters, thank you. I'm glad that I was able to bring a little of Poseidon's luck with me on board your boat, ha ha. Thanks again Steve and God bless you for all you do for us in the Fire Department. :D

Here are some pics that I took.

Nice work, you guys were busting the bones out of them !!!!!!!

I like that spot you were fishing by that bridge b4 the plastic army invaded,

I saw the same invade the one bridge hot spot that I knew right off and fished, but depite attitudes from the paddletown rats.....I think they'll always develop a respect for a solid 5" CROCODILE flyin in the wind.....sometimes my skills aren't so good and I don't stop it !!!!!!!!! .....HA HA HA HA

Looks like ya had one great day....it is strange that we didn't cross fields at one time or another...I told ya....ya never know where I'll be...one thing for sure is you guys toe it nUP @!

Congrats...ya gave 'em hell....that was a fun day..

P.S.
I bet if you hitt that bridge area about noon to 2pm (tyhat particular day "high tide") and run the jigs about 3-5' suspending working upstream you'll knock a new ahole into 'em !!!
Salute,
Gary

Dood! Is there anything you cant catch. Holy S#!% its like the fish are magnetic and
your lures are the magnets. Curious on where you got that LC. Way to go out there!
Could you imagine if you didnt let the fish go? There would be nothing for the rest of us!

Thanks for the memories. I have swam/dove every square inch of that harbor in the 90's. I have many fond memories form NPH.

Great job on the fish from the bay. I know a spot where you can hook up on the biggest baddest batrays all day and night if you are so inclined. You guys were on the spot but it looks like you were tapping the bass in that locale instead. PM if you want to compare notes.

Looks like a beautiful day to fish the harbor. That place is quite amazing, I've only fished from shore, but had some success as well. ;)

Congrats on all the fish!
