Hit the incomming tide at about 7 this morning. Decieded to work South of the pier for once. When I got to the beach I found several crab beds in site of the parking lot, and decieded to give up the GSWs and dig a few up. Seems to me they were just the right size, a little smaller than a quarter and I found some that had nice soft sells with lots of row. Picked up the first one and realized I had absolutly no idea how to put one on a hook.....any suggestions? I tried hooking it from the front, came off on the first cast, tried from the back, after a few casts, I got a bite, and the hook came back with the front half of the crab missing. That was the only bite I got with the live crabs so I switched back to GSWs and caught 4 BSP in about an hour before heading home. Beautiful morning, doesn't get any better than a warm sunrise on the beach.
