What kind of fins do you guys use? i bought some chap ones at BPS they suck!!!! I would like to use them with wading boots but doesn't really matter i guess. What do you guys recomend? Do you use them with boots or no boots? Sorry about so many questions just trying to get this float tube thing right.

I use a pair of Mares Plana Avanti X3 dive fins. I've heard a lot about the Hotspots and Force Fins. The Force Fins are pretty pricey though. You can buy Hotspots from Turner's. I always use my fins with the Flats Booties from BPS. For $20, you can't beat it.

I went just one shoe size larger than my regular shoe size. I wanted to try a size 13 bootie, but they didn't have any in stock. The size 12's are a bit snug.

Which fins did you get?

Are you sure they suck or do you just suck:LOL: If you are new to tubing you don't get anywhere fast. Its all very slow.

Force Fins all the way for me. Fins for tubing are just not about kicking. You need to think about walking and launching too. Always were booties to protect your waders.

Heres what I posted in another thread.

I always used Force Fins with booty's as wading boots are just too darn heavy and put alot of extra strain on ur muscle's by the end of a day on the water I did not even search out other brands and there may not have many other choices when I first got into tubing back in the late 80's but we did try alot of stuff getting to the point of using the Force Fins and booty's.
