Anyone know what types of fish are available? what kind of bait to use? When to fish? tia
Place is completely dead. No life worth seeking. DFG says no catchable Corvina have been seen for years.

Spring & early summer the Talapia spawn from the canals into the sea... The bite goes pretty Wide Open for a month or so....
Then the algae Bloom starts and oxygen gets rapidly depleted and EVERYTHING DIES off.. STINKY
Light line & worms, and you can fill a bucket or two with Talapia before they die out...
There is nothing else in the lake, it all died out 5 to 10 yrs ago...

Right On Nessie. You Might Want To Save On Gas ,and Go Tilapia Fishing In The Channels ,by Studabaker Road. Its Not A Good Idea To Eat Any Thing Out Of There Or The Salton Sea, But Youll Catch A Crap Load Tilapia In Those Channels.same Bait, And Rigs That Nessie Talked About. Good Luck, And Peace Out..... That is sad. That's a big lake. Heard over a million fish died.
