Hi one_leg,

My buddy was cranking on that thing for 15 minutes !! Musta weighed 20 pounds dead-weight from 180 feet.

It was the loop-end of a towing cable that had about 4 inches of growth on it !!

Look for good bait on the Victory from now on !!

Thanks for another great detailed report. I was wondering what that thing on the cutting board was.

Did your friend get it filleted or gill and gut??? LOL

A towing hawser!!! That is interesting. I wonder if it broke while it was in use? It happens all the time.

Nice to know that there will be good bait now! Squid stinks.

Hi Ricky-Ray,

He was too aggrivated to say anything once he got it up !! There is one wreck on the shoe that has just coils and coils of 1 1/2 inch towing cable just dumped over the side and is a real danger to divers !! Sportboat anchors tend to hook them fairly often and is a dangerous deal to get your anchor back without ........

Oh yes ... always enjoy your posts.

Hi atomiie,

Thanks ! As your board name is a bit unfamiliar to ME ... I'll be watching for your reports. Always great to have another reporter on the boards !!

Hey JapanRon,
Very nicely done. Keep an eye on the San Diego counts. Lots of bonita means the Coronados could be happening within the month. Come on down and lets jump on a boat soon.

Hi deanhall32,

Thanks ... you're on my down-south ...... hook-up-with-a-local-buddy list. I've got 3 boats I've got to ride Daily-Double, San Diego, and Dolphin plus my hosts home-boat !!

SD ..... a whole different breed of cat ... I must say !!

Note to self: Must join JapanRon on a sportboat one day. LOL

Looks like you mainly fish weekday's, ever fish on the weekends Ron? I have this stupid thing called work that interferes with my weekday fishing. LOL

Hi Ricky-Ray,

Unless it was a private charter or PB, I choose not to split up the ocean with more than is neccessary !!

Besides ........ Saturday belongs to mom.
