I left for my buddies cabin in june at about 2:45 a.m on monday with my tube and chuckem back charlie. I drove all through the night and got to the tiger bar at a 7:30. A brief hello with my buddy and i was off to see how cold the water would be in breathable waders!the first day was on gull and kind of sloow. I stuck to the flies and decided i need more practice.
this was the first day trophy

also his first sierra trout and his first fish on his tube! he was happy
the second day we bounced around and noticed low water at grant and lundy nothing really going off at silver so we headed back to bar-b-q at gull in the park after a nice lakeside lunch it was in the water for a afternoon of catch and release. I released 20 or so and 1 small cutthroat and nator hooked up a 3 lber

the weather up there is crazy it was beautiful then bam wind gusts up to 50 miles an hour. We came off the water in a hurry and tried for about 2 beers to wait it out then we hit the gull meadows side for the evening bite. It was pretty much wide open on power worms and jigs behind water bobbers I released another 20 and got this 3 lber in the middle of a 7 casts 7 fish streak

It gets really cold as the sun dips behind the mountains and once again we were forced off the water. At the truck I forgot to secure my gear and my camera and both spinning rods fell off my truck and of course I ran them over . So now I have to replace my cheap but sentimental trout rod, the ugly stick however is barely even scratched. And my faithful fishing partner the kodak easy share c633 is wasted the screen shattered and the on/off switch is gone but the sd card was safe!
The next morning was more of the night before gusts up to 50 and cloud cover. We hit gull for a couple pan fryers to bring home for almond trout, then borrowed their grill for some sausage sandwhiches before the grueling drive home:cry:. We were making good time so we drove up line st.? in bishop. I was hoping to run into intake 2 but never saw signs. ended up driving towards south lake to see the views and then back down the mountain to home and my wonderful family
