They have been pretty much obsolete in the last six months... almost impossible to find.

Some good alternate patterns are the Aurora Black, Aurora Blue, Aurora Brown, MJ Herring, American Shad and Tennessee Shad.

Good luck! ;)

This sounds like a job for Tacklejunkie or maybe Matt Duarte.

Come on you guys, I have seen what you can do with a piece of balsa wood and a pen knife.

Get to whittlin' ASAP!!!!!!!!

Where can you find the saltwater ones? I went to a tackle shop yesterday and bought 3 jerk baits one being a LC Pointer 100 (only because they didn't have the flash minnows) and the two others were owner jerk baits. Now I'm wondering if I should take them back because they weren't made for saltwater, or can I still use them and just wash them thoroughly after each usage?

I'm not TJ, but I have read that you have to change the hooks anyways because the hooks themselves aren't that great (barb is too small which means losing more fish). I read that you have to use a #4 in the front and a #6 in the back (or Vise-Versa). This is to balence out the weight or else it would be too heavy with two#6's and then just sink to the bottom. As far as brand of hooks, its up to you. I like owner, they are dependable, but pricy. You can also go to Wal-Mart and get some off brand and it would work just as well. Hope that helps.

I don't know yet TD. I bought them, used them a few times in the surf and rinsed them off afterwards with the stock hooks. They still show signs of rust in the joint of the treble where you can't scrub the rust off. You don't want to chance losing a nice fish on a rusty treble so after a time or two in the surf they'll need to be changed.

Next time I get to throwing the hardbait in the surf, I'll have to get a pack of hooks. The rest of the hardware on the bait is doing fine.

The stock saltwater ones come with a #6 treble hook. Atleast thats what the site says.

You can definitely get them on this site, I have purchased a few of them here before. But be aware that Customs WILL drill holes in at least one or two of your lures to check if they're filled with contraband. The first time I ordered a dozen LCs (which took over a month to get from these guys), I was shocked to open the package and saw holes drilled in two of the lures by a Customs officer. That's about $35 bucks out the window. The LC's don't work too well in the surf full of holes!

I don't think Wingnut has more then one zebra sardine cause the one He has on pics looks like his dog took hold of if and chewed pretty good :) , It's not some much the LC but the way you presented, how, when early in the morning, if Oxnard , Mugu, Malibu the coming tide if OC the low tide. Also the procure gel on it, the rest is time at the beach ....

Sinjin Kim was recommending either an Owner ST-41 #6 or EWG Gamakatsu (black nickel) #6

Try giving Sav-on Tackle a call. They used to have a good stock of LC's

I think WINGNUT PUG is sticking his tongue out at us!
