Met up with friends and got on the water around 8:30. Weather was hot for Newport-70 in the morning to 890 by the afternoon! Tide was looooooooooooooooooooooooow and fishing was slooooooooooooooooooow. 3 of them caught fish but another friend and I skunked. After every one left I tried to burn the skunk off till nightfall. lost 2 cuda bites, nothing. But a few great sunset pics can liven up any skunked trip.

Total fish from the crew: 7 spotties, 2 halis, 1 bat ray, 3 yfc's, 1 tomcod, 2 sandies

Even though it was hot, at least you were on the water! Trust me, it was hotter inland! :mrgreen:

A day on the water with friends is priceless.

As my buddy from the HESBROS says "It is not always about the catching"

That is fishing and spending time on the water!!

nice report! rented a skiff with a couple of friends that same day. few barracudas. i actually caught my first ocean fish that day :)

I think i saw you guys go bye. Yah i tried the cudas and missed them, congrats on the first sw catch.
