We charted an overnight on the Pacific Eagle out of Port Hueneme on Saturday, April 26th, the ride out to Santa Rosa was pretty good, considering the snotty weather they had the last couple of weeks. There were no squid or Seabass around, so we headed out to deep water. limited out on Quality Reds and assorted rockfish, with a few lings in the mix. The standard squid and anchovies on droppers worked well, as did large jigs. The captains, Mike and Vince, and crew, Frenchy, Jeff and Joe, were great as usual. Another good trip on the Pacific Eagle.

Hi CS, we were pleasantly suprised on the quality this year. This was our 5th annual trip, and it was by far the healthiest load we have seen in a while. I guess the regulations are starting to pay off. The lings were all less than 30" though. The average fillet bag for all was about 15-20 pounds. Tasty stuff !

Hi Brian, we had no luck finding squid, which meant no croaker hunt.. the water is still a bit cool, but soon....
