We're planning a trip to leave next Tuesday to either Catalina or SCI and I know its a long shot but thought I would try anyways. We're looking for some good coordinates for rock cod. We always fish the 14 mile bank on the way in but I have a feeling that if we do that too much longer our arms will fall off from reeling in from 400+ feet and wont be able to fish ever again! lol So if anyone has a spot or 2 please let me know! Dont worry I dont fish and tell. Thanks!

I believe that the maximum legal depth to fish is 360 feet so be careful out there!

You can get some cods out on and around the Farnsworth bank on the backside of Catalina and there's a decent area for fat cods just a little past the East end of SCI. Look at a map of SCI, the area I am talking about is easily seen on the map. It's in the 200-300
foot zone.

You could try the sub wreck off long beach or there are a couple of spots around twin rocks at cat. Good luck.
