Just wanted to know if anybody had any info. on using grunion for Halibut bait. I know that April and May are closed grunion months, but after those months is it any good, legal or difficult?

I am interested in trying out Seal Beach. Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

Grunion is a very good Halibut bait. Obviously the Halibut become very active during runs, so even if you can't catch the grunion (or during closed grunion season), you can throw baits at them with similar patterns and usually have some luck. Big Hammer swimbaits, LC's, Krocs, you'll get em..
